You guys are in for a very special treat today. You’re getting my coverage of Chris Evans instead of Bedhead’s (Bedhead had to go to the doctor!). Bedhead, as we know, is a big fan of Chris Evans, although I think she’s more of a “just look at him and don’t pay attention to his words” kind of fan. The problem with that is that I just don’t find him all that hot. That butt GIF does nothing for me except remind me that he’s got a Chunk-Butt. Plus, he looks sort of booze-bloated in these photos. Right?
Anyway, these are some photos of Chris’s big LA premiere for his directorial debut, Before We Go. Chris and Alice Eve walked the red carpet together for a time, but then they split and posed for photos solo. For the life of me, I cannot find an ID on her dress. It’s a pretty color-block dress, although I think she could have gone for a lighter color. Before We Go is supposed to be a light rom-com type of film, so I don’t get why everything about the premiere seemed so dark and serious.
Meanwhile, Chunk-Butt sat down with USA Today to chat about why he chose a romantic-comedy for his directorial debut. USA Today notes that Chris is “single” but they don’t quote him saying that. Some highlights:
He loves love stories: “I’m such a sap. I’m out there throwing that shield and knocking people out at least a few times every couple of years, so when I have some down time, that’s not exactly what I’m looking to keep doing. Captain America, this is not a guy who knows what love feels like… he wants it, he thinks about it, he knows there’s something missing, but it’s not that he’s ever tasted it.”
He likes that his character believes in love: “Certain men have never felt love and they’re looking for it and that’s part of their pain and suffering. I like the guys who are struggling because they know a good thing and it slipped through their fingers. There’s a sadness to that. As opposed to playing this brooding guy because he never formed that bond, you have the damaged guy because he knows what he could have.”
Okay, I’ll admit it, Chunk-Butt sort of got me. It is better to see a portrait of a sensitive man who is openly searching for love rather than a brooding dude who is too broody and dark to experience those feelings. #BoyFeelings #Saps4Life #ChunkButt #PrayForBedhead
