You have to hand it to Khloe Kardashian, she really took the spotlight off her most famous sister’s shrinking trademark butt, and her cuter sister’s unplanned pregnancy. It’s all about Khloe’s wedding to that multi-millionaire basketball player she met a month ago. People are questioning why she’s in such a hurry while the press is just going through the motions. It’s like everybody loves a wedding so we’re all going to cover it, even though it’s happening way too quickly for common sense. Khloe is on the cover of In Touch this week in her wedding gown – although her wedding hasn’t happened yet and was so hastily planned that guests had to be called first to save the date.
According to the Daily News, Khloe and Lamar Odom’s wedding photos could be worth $300,000 to OK! Magazine, and you can also bet that the whole thing will be filmed for her new reality show. Khloe has some hefty motivation to jump into holy matrimony as quick as she can, but apparently the whole thing was Lamar’s idea as he wanted to tie the knot before basketball season started. That could have been a story the Kardashians put out there so they wouldn’t look like the fame wh*res they are, especially because Lamar’s ex girlfriend and the mother of his two kids calls him a commitment-phobe, but I do think Lamar is into Khloe. That said, I was pretty skeptical of Mariah and Nick Carey’s – I mean Cannon’s – quickie marriage and they’re still together a year and a half later. Those two didn’t seem to get married for promotional purposes, though:

Sources say OK! magazine is about to shell out $300,000 for an exclusive on the Sunday nuptials, besting lesser offers from Us Weekly and People.
But Odom won’t be making a dime off the deal, according to a Kardashian family insider. The source says that Khloe will pocket all the cash — with a cut going to her manager-mom, Kris, of course.
Reps for all parties didn’t respond to calls for comment.

It doesn’t seem fair that Khloe will get all the money, but Lamar is pretty loaded and has a $33 million, four year contract. I hope he’s arranged for an iron clad prenup. It feels like this whole wedding doesn’t mean as much since it’s being marketed and rushed, but maybe the fact that they’re making a commitment to spend the rest of their lives together is supposed to mean just that. We’ll see how long it lasts.
