Throughout this week, I’ve been slightly aware of the UK tabloid reports that Taylor Swift has been checking out some real estate in London. The tabloids claimed that she was looking for a place close to Harry Styles’ place, because I guess Harry and Tay-Tay are not “done” yet? But I do think they’re done. Taylor might not believe it, but I think Harry has been over it since January of this year. He’s moved on. And so that left Taylor, in my mind, as a real estate stalker who was still obsessed with her ex. Except that maybe I should give her more credit. According to People Mag, Tay-Tay has found her Romeo (LITERALLY) with yet another young-looking British boy, 21-year-old Douglas Booth. Booth recently played Romeo in the latest film version of Romeo and Juliet:
Does Taylor Swift have a new British beau? Ten months after splitting from One Direction’s Harry Styles, the “I Knew You Were Trouble” singer has been spotted with another U.K. heartthrob – Romeo and Juliet’s Douglas Booth.
“They hired the back room and were in there alone,” a source tells PEOPLE of the duo’s cozy night at The Holly Bush in London on Friday. “They looked very happy [and] were just smiling and laughing just like any other customers.”
The duo possibly met through Swift’s close friend Hailee Steinfeld, who starred opposite Booth, 21, in the latest installment of Shakespeare’s classic love story about star-crossed lovers.
Swift, 23, showed up at the Los Angeles premiere’s after party in September, where she was seen getting flirty with Booth. The pair hung out with a group of friends (including Steinfeld), chatting and taking a series of fun photos in the photo booth.
No word yet on if the two are officially dating or are simply friends (reps for Swift and Booth did not respond to a request for comment), but sounds like a bit of quality time could go a long way with Booth.
“I’ve met some of the most beautiful women in the world, but they’re not the most attractive women that I’ve met,” he told PEOPLE in September. “Beauty comes from inside … I think it takes a little bit of getting to know someone to fall in love.”
I’m including some photos of Booth below. He’s cute. I wouldn’t call him sexy or bangable, but he has that particular look that I know Taylor likes. He’s got good hair and a sweet face and he looks like he could totally be a member of One Direction. Do you hear that, Harry Styles? Tay-Tay found another British boy, a better British boy! Which reminds me – remember when Taylor and Eddie Redmayne dated for just a moment a few years ago? She’s been on a British boy jag for a while. I ain’t mad at her. I’ve had a thing for British boys for decades now. Welcome to the Anglophile Files, girl.
PS… Is anyone else creeped out by actors named “Booth”? I wonder if he’s distantly related to John Wilkes.
