Judy Blume’s acclaimed novel Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret has finally been adapted into a new film. Find out where to watch it this weekend. Will the new movie be available to watch on Netflix?
For those unfamiliar with Judy Blume’s 1970 coming-of-age novel, the movie follows a teen girl who moves from New York to New Jersey and goes on a journey of self-discovery. One of her parents is Christian, while the other is Jewish, so Margeret is determined to figure out her own religious identity. The cast includes Rachel McAdams, Abby Ryder Fortson, Elle Graham, Benny Safdie, and Kathy Bates.
Where can you watch Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret? Will the movie be on Netflix? Here’s what you need to know.
Are You There God? is unlikely to be on Netflix because it is a Lionsgate film, and Netflix doesn’t have a streaming output deal with the production company. However, there are several Rachel McAdams movies on the platform right now, like Southpaw, Disobedience, and Eurovision.
The only place you can watch the Judy Blume adaptation right now is in theaters. Eventually, the movie will stream on Starz and later on the Roku Channel.
In 2024, Peacock will also begin streaming Lionsgate movies and Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret will be among the offerings moving to the streamer next year. So there will be several streaming options for those who would rather wait to watch this movie at home!
